The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) commissioned AgriDev as Third-Party Monitoring Agent (TPMA) to carry out monitoring, validation, and verification of beneficiary eligibility and project activities across the following two project components:
- Dairy Value Chain Support (Component 1): validating and verifying dairy grant beneficiaries and their investments.
- Fodder Support (Component 2): verifying planting and harvesting of locally produced fodder crops.
Project name: Validation and Verification of Dairy and Fodder Support Beneficiaries in Lebanon.
The assignment aims to provide FAO with empirical, evidence-based information on the quality, compliance, and impact of project implementation, ensuring that activities are delivered effectively and that both beneficiaries and FAO/MOA achieve the intended outcomes.
The services include the following deliverables:
- Monitoring plan: Develop field visit protocols, data collection tools, and a proposed schedule of field visits
- Field validation and works reception verification reports: Covers 430 grants’ beneficiaries
- Post-Planting and Post-Harvesting Verification Reports: Covers 1000 supported fodder- producing farms after planting, with at least 100 of these farms verified post-harvest.
- Quarterly Monitoring and Verification Reports: 4 reports
- Final Monitoring Report and Presentation: Consolidates all validation and verification findings; to be submitted at the end of the contract.
