Develop and improve local Sun-Dried tomato production. A project initiated by AgriDev and implemented in collaboration with Berytech, funded by BMZ. The scope included:
- Identify 32 women processors
- Identify 8 farmers to participate in the project through contract farming
- Identify gap and opportunities in the sun-dried tomato value chain
- Train women beneficiaries on Climate smart processing techniques
- Provide GMP, GHP and women empowerment training
- Train farmers on the advantages of drip irrigation and integrated pest management
- Develop contract farming agreements with the two beneficiaries’ groups (women processors and farmers)
