Order of Malta Lebanon (OML) commissioned AgriDev to provide technical assistance and project implementation services across Lebanon. The scope included:
- Design vulnerability assessment tools for farmers and businesses targeting 1,000 beneficiaries
- Conduct in-person field vulnerability assessment (n= 2,500), using kobo
- Conduct field visits to production site to validate eligible beneficiaries, including 409 MSMEs (50% female, 50% male and 30% youth) and 591 farmers (20% female, 80% male, 35% youth) to benefit from the project
- Design training materials (n=1)
- Provide training to selected MSMEs and farmers on small business management (5 working days each), concluding with the development of individual business plans that will serve as the basis for in-kind or cash support
- Validate the relevance of each business plan in relation to the requested type of assistance.
- Conduct 3,000 in-person monitoring and coaching field visits (using kobo) to farmers and businesses to oversee the implementation of business plans, verify and audit proper execution/maintenance of kits, validate disbursements to the donor, collect supporting documents, and report any variations.
- Design Six in-kind kits to farmers based on on-site assessment and market demand
- Conduct an impact assessment and prepare reports on findings
- Design an OJT interventions to increase the knowledge and employability of 200 Syrian refugees’ youth. This includes weekly monitoring visits and a final impact assessment
- Carry out market assessments and feasibility studies to design and initiate two processing units
